Now that I have your attention.
So yeah, I saw this flash movie recently and I don't like it one bit. I bet some of you are already going to type about "Oh, you got it wrong, that flash is deep." Well, there is nothing deep about it IMO. In the flash, he portrays video games as a poison of sorts, as if any form of it aside from hanging out with the community is bad. This is true if it is taken in excess and the same can be said for everything in life. Sports, music and work just to name a few. Even vitamins can be poisonous if taken in excess.
In the flash, he talks about how video games have ruined his life ( the obesity, the divorce and all that). But that is simply not the case, it is due to his lack of self-control that his life took a nose-dive. This guy is just one of the many gamers out there who have no self-control. One doesn't need to spend hours or even day in a row to play a game. Just shut it off and take a break. Hardly anyone would blame themselves for their troubles, it's always easier to blame something else. "Oh, I drove drunk and ran over X amount of people, it was the alcohol, not me!"
To end this rather lengthy post, to the people who believe video games are poison, it isn't. It is just means of entertainment. And the fact is, people take it way too seriously. IMO gaming isn't some sub-culture or a way of life or something like that. It is just the act of sitting down, popping in a game cartridge or disc and having fun. If you let something as simple as that rule your life, then it is you that has the problem. Not video games, not television, not movies, you.
